Mona is a second generation tax preparer; she began preparing taxes while she was in college. She’s been in the tax business for many years and is able to help clients navigate through difficult tax situations. Before opening Tucson Tax Team, Mona was a founding and managing partner of Arizona Tax Partners. She is bringing her many years of experiences as well as her personal touch to this new endeavor.

Mona is a National Tax Practice Institute Fellow. This means she has completed a stringent, three-level program of study with the National Association of Enrolled Agents that covers all facets of representing clients before the IRS, including communicating with the IRS, helping non-filers, examinations, appeals, collections, liens and levies, bankruptcy and more.

Mona has been married to her high school sweetheart, Charles, for 25 years. Mona has two adult daughters. Her youngest is at the U of A and is studying to be a teacher. Her oldest has completed her Masters in Accounting and CPA test and is working in Denver Colorado. There are now three generations of number crunchers in her family!

Charles and Mona’s love of the ocean brought them to Rocky Point, where they started a rental company, Sandy Beach Rentals. She is considered an expert in international rentals and has firsthand knowledge of the new Mexican Incorporated Tax Regime. She has been on numerous HOA boards and committees, both in Tucson and Puerto Penasco.
