I never leave reviews - But this experience was bad enough that I feel obligated to warn others.
I reached out to Mak three times to ask when I could pick up my tax return and was ignored each time. On the actual day taxes were due, I had to chase him down myself. When I finally got in touch, he was shockingly rude and disrespectful, and then told me the fee was $395--even though he had originally quoted me $95.
This was never mentioned until the last possible moment, and it honestly felt like a bait-and-switch. If I had known the real cost from the beginning, I never would've trusted him with my information.
I'm filing a complaint with the Rhode Island Board of Accountancy, because this behavior is not just unprofessional--it's unethical. Avoid at all costs.

This company steals from they're paying costumers. I highly recommend going to another Tax Professional. I own small bussines and needed help reinstating my small business. Mak stated he charges $250 per year. He told me I only needed to file for 4 yrs. $250 x 4 = $1200.00. He ended up charging me $2,450. When I realized this & brought it to his attention he has the audacity to call me CHEAP. How dare you call me cheap when you OVER CHARGED ME. You STOLE from me & you know it. I have called & texted him over & over again. His response "CALL A LAWYER" & even said if I showed up to his office he would CALL THE POLICE on me. I have worked with Mak for a few years now and every year it gets worse. One year he told me I didnt pay him to file so he would not file my taxes until I proved to him all the zelle payments I sent him, thankfully I save all my receipts. He starts off kind and pulls you in. He will fool you into sending him money. Please save your money and time. HE STEALS AND WHEN YOU ASK HIM ABOUT IT HE WILL AVIOD YOU WHEN YOU ASK TO MEET TO DISCUSS A SOLUTION HE WILL TELL YOU HE IS GOING TO CALL THE POLICE. NOTHING BUT DISRESPECTFUL, NOT PROFESSIONAL AT ALL. SAVE YOUR SELF THE HEADACHE, ESPECIALLY IF YOU OWN A SMALL BUSINESS & YOU ARE NOT TOO KNOWLEDGEABLE, HE WILL TAKE ADVATAGE OF YOU!! BEWARE.
